ICJS 1 2013 is honored to announce that the keynote speech will be delivered by Professor John N. Miksic of the National University of Singapore (NUS).Professor John N. Miksic, Head, Archaeology Unit, Nalanda-Sriwijaya Center, Institute of Southeast Asian Studies. Associate Professor, Department of Southeast Asian Studies, National University of Singapore.
Dr. Miksic is a leading international expert on the archaeology and history of Sumatra. He will be providing us with an overall view against which we can appreciate the big picture of Jambi studies in terms of changing regional and international relations.
At the end of the conference, in order to bring all the issues together, there will be a closing speech delivered by Professor Barbara Watson Andaya. Barbara Watson Andaya is Professor of Asian Studies and Director of the Center for Southeast Asian Studies at the University of Hawai’i.
